Angelica Peady Photography {Memorable Moments of 2011} Thanks & Happy New Year

What a year! And where has the last 12 months gone? At Angelica Peady Photography we have had an amazing time photographing some fabulous weddings, beautiful couples and spirited families. What can we say other than that we feel totally blessed that we can do this for a living. We meet wonderful people, share their special moments and celebrate love, love, love…

This year we have had quite a few firsts, many memorable moments and lots of highlights so as 2011 comes to a close we thought we’d share with you some of  the special moments of the year that has been, and of course some of our most favourite images… enjoy!

*********

We frolicked with nature – getting up close and personal with a butterfly (well, as close as a butterfly will let you!)

We aimed for the sky – photographing our first ever bride who arrived to her wedding in a helicopter.

We celebrated colour and culture – shooting a Mexican fiesta inspired wedding…We experienced the unexpected – a group of boys spontaneously leaping into the pool behind our newly weds!

We lived happily ever after – with a bride and groom in the Storybook Garden in the scenic Hunter Valley…

We got down and dirty (in a beautiful way) – photographing our bride Lauren in a rusty junk yard, true creative juxtaposition!

We saw the world – capturing our first Vegas wedding!

We experienced old world love – shooting an amazing Halloween wedding complete with a knight in shining armour…

We fulfilled a personal dream – to capture a wedding at iconic St Mary’s Cathedral…

We stayed up late – and after midnight the guests turned into woodlands creatures (a night we’ll never forget!)

*********

Thank you to everyone that has been part of the Angelica Peady journey for 2011. We wish you happiness, love and laughter for the new year.

Angelica Peady Photography {Sydney Wedding Photography} The Bride Wore Bowling Shoes!

Yes, you read that right! Bowling shoes. With her wedding dress! And she actually bowled.

Amy and Josh are mad for ten-pin so when miserable weather impacted their plans they upped and moved their pre-reception festivities to their local bowling alley with their guests in tow. So, yep, add that to the Angelica Peady Photography list of ‘firsts’. We can now say we went bowling with a bride and groom.

And it was THIS much fun!

Amy and Josh are such a beautiful people. They are so easy to like and their enthusiasm for one another is contagious. Amy was a gorgeous, happy bride. Her flowing Zimmerman gown was soft and romantic and her hair was adorned with fresh flowers. Amy was natural, glowing and full of the joys that a wedding day can bring.

Josh was the proud groom, and the way he looked at Amy – really, it said it all. Josh truly believes he is the luckiest man on earth. Naaaaaw.

Amy and Josh ‘tied the knot’ at the Auburn Botanical Gardens, a lush, leafy oasis in Western Sydney. The week’s rain prior to their wedding day meant the gardens were vibrant green and this made for fabulous photos with bursting colour and lots of lovely dappled sun light. The rain held out as Amy and Josh exchanged vows and once the deed was done we snatched some images in the stunning surrounds and then it was off to bowling for lots of laughs and good-natured competition.

Congratulations Amy and Josh! What a fun-filled day – it was an honor to share in your celebration. We wish you a lifetime of love, happiness and ‘turkeys’! (That’s a bowling term for the uninitiated!)

Amy and Josh’s wedding dream team included: Melissa Duane (Celebrant), Hair & Make Up by Hells Bells & Vogue Vixens, Floral Design by Blushing Blooms – Flowers by Sally Thompson and wedding gown by Zimmerman.

Angelica Peady Photography loves to celebrate the real you. Whatever your passions – if your day is an authentic, heart-felt and represents you – we’d like to be your wedding photography. Wild, wacky, whimsical – whatever. We believe in real couples and real love. Contact our studio for more information.

Angelica Peady {Sydney Engagement Photography} Sophie & Ed: Crazy in Love in Newtown

Sophie and Ed are one of the coolest couples we’ve ever met. Fun and charismatic, it was such a pleasure to shoot these love birds. Up for an adventure, Sophie and Ed travelled from their home town of Cairns (in far north Queensland) for their engagement shoot with the team from Angelica Peady Photography. What a compliment for us – and pressure to deliver some fan-tas-tic pictures – but rest assured it was worth Sophie and Ed’s journey –  of course, we more than delivered;)

We decided to shoot in the grungy, urban streets of Sydney’s Newtown for a hip, earthy look that complimented Sophie and Ed’s personal style. Graffiti, an old, overgrown cemetery and lots of golden afternoon sun resulted in a series of images that perfectly capture Sophie and Ed – hip, edgy and loved-up.

We are excited to be shooting Sophie and Ed’s wedding in 2012 in Cairns – until then guys, happy planning! We can’t wait to be part of your big day.

It’s no secret that the team at Angelica Peady love to be a little bit different. We take photography seriously however our approach is anything but. We love to shoot real couples – the cooler, the quirkier, the more authentic the better. We just want you to be yourselves and let us capture that.

An engagement shoot is a wonderful opportunity to experience the Angelica Peady team and see if we are the photographer ‘for you’ and your big day. It’s also a chance to take a few hours, as a couple, to capture the happiness, anticipation and joy that is the journey towards marriage.

Angelica Peady Photography is based in the Hawkesbury Valley. We shoot weddings, engagements and family portraits all over greater Sydney. Contact us for more information on your own engagement photography session.
